A 30-year-old man has been arrested after the Panago Pizza in Sahali was robbed at knife point yesterday evening.
Police say they responded to a call from the restaurant around 10 p.m, last night, after a man walked into the restaurant, took out a knife, and demanded he be given the cash from the register.
“The employee complied and the suspect then immediately fled on foot,” RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Darren Michels said. “Frontline officers and the Police Services Dog Unit attended the location and began an investigation attempting to track the suspect.”
Michels says a man matching the suspect’s description was found and arrested some ways away from the restaurant and arrested without incident. This man, who is known to police, is facing a robbery charge. He was later released from custody with a court date set for June 7.
