The co-owner of Thompson Valley Charters says a new inter-community bus service between Kamloops and Edmonton is set to launch May 3rd.
Roger Nadeau says it will depart Kamloops on Monday’s and Thursday’s with stops in every little town from Barrière to Little Fort all the way to Edmonton. It will then make the return trip on Tuesday’s and Friday’s.
“Typically like, we will leave Kamloops at 12:00(noon). For example, we will be in Valemount at 4:00 in the afternoon and into Edmonton about 22:50 at night. And then the next morning we leave Edmonton at 7:45. We’re back into Valemount at 1:00 in the afternoon and then into Kamloops at 16:45.”
Nadeau says the new route is operating in partnership with e-bus. The goal is to be back in Kamloops in time for people to connect to Vancouver or the Okanagan. “So that people from Vancouver and the Okanagan can inter-connect with us in Kamloops and carry on to Edmonton. And same win Edmonton, we stop at e-bus and if you’re coming form Alberta you can come back this way and we are inter-connecting on the way back on Tuesday afternoon in Kamloops and you can carry on to Vancouver or the Okanagan.”
“We have been getting a lot of phone calls in our office
