Kamloops RCMP are looking for three suspects, after a liquor store was robbed and two employees were bear sprayed last night.
It happened about 10 minutes before closing at a liquor store in Sahali, in the 900-block of Columbia Street West.
Const. Crystal Evelyn says the suspects grabbed at least 15 bottles of hard liquor and a case of hard iced teas, and walked to the counter and sprayed both employees with what was believed to bear spray before fleeing.
“I would just ask the public to be aware, as well. We all live here and we all play a role in helping to prevent crime in the neighbourhood… So if you did see something, please say something, is the bottom line.”
Evelyn says police searched the area and found evidence nearby, including what was believed to be a couple of bottles of liquor, but suspects remain outstanding.
There were two men and one woman involved.
The first suspect is described as being a white man who was taller and lanky, who was wearing darker clothes and a white, or red and white, bandana, being used for a mask. The second suspect is a man who is described as being possibly Indigenous and shorter than the first suspect, who was also wearing dark clothes. The third suspect is said to be a heavy-set, possibly Indigenous woman in her mid-thirties, who was about five-foot-three. She had long, black, unkempt hair, dirty hands, a gruff voice and was wearing a large, black, baggy hoodie, black baggy pants and a mask.
Anyone with details is being asked to call Kamloops RCMP.
