Kamloops RCMP say a local man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested.

RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says Shane Anthony Jeurissen, 51, was arrested in Surrey on Sunday night.

On Friday, RCMP said a warrant for Jeurissen’s arrest was issued after he allegedly breached conditions related to a long-term supervision order.

“He has numerous convictions, many out of Kamloops, for offences including assault with a weapon, fail to comply with release orders, uttering threats, and others,” Evelyn said, on Friday.
