Kamloops RCMP say a teenager was beaten and robbed after buying cigarettes from bootleggers over the weekend.
Const. Crystal Evelyn says police were called to a parking lot in the 100-block of Yew Street just before 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, to reports a teenaged boy being robbed and assaulted by three men.
The victim had cash and his phone taken, and was beaten with an item believed to be a baton. Evelyn tells NL News there were no obvious signs of injuries to the teenager involved.
Evelyn says the three suspects ran off on foot after the incident. All three are described as being white. One suspect is described as being between 40 and 50 years old and skinny, and was wearing shades, a black hat and dark clothing. Another is described as being about 25 years old with a buzz cut, and no suspect description has been provided of the third suspect.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Kamloops RCMP, and reference file number 2021-13023.
