Kamloops RCMP are asking for help after a man was found with serious injuries in downtown Kamloops early this morning.
Spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says police were called to the alleyway in the 200-block between Seymour and Victoria Streets around 5:30 a.m. today. The man, she says, was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with serious injuries.
“It’s still very early in the investigation, but the injuries appear to be of a blunt-force nature,” Evelyn told NL News when asked about the nature of the injuries.
RCMP are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or heard anything they think may be related, to contact police.
“It is unknown how long the man had been there before he was discovered,” Evelyn added. “Investigators are also interested in speaking with anyone who has security cameras capturing that portion of alleyway or the entry into the alleyway at Second or Third avenues.”
If you have information, you’re asked to call Kamloops RCMP and reference file number 2021-16194.
