Kamloops RCMP are seeking out possible witnesses to a crash scene in Brocklehurst that was preceded by an altercation.

The accident happened at Tranquille Road and Ord Road on May 15 at 5:30 a.m., according to Const. Crystal Evelyn. She says only a brown Toyota Rav4 was involved.

Before the accident, between 4:30 and 5 a.m., Evelyn says the occupants of the SUV were in an altercation where someone was allegedly assaulted. That happened near Tranquille Farm and the turn onto Tranquille-Criss Creek Road.

Evelyn says at least two vehicles may have watched the altercation, including a small white car and another car that honked while driving by.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000, and reference file number 2021-15837.
