
B.C. now has just over one million residents who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Health officials have reported 56 new cases province-wide, and no deaths from the virus.
There were 15 new cases today in Interior Health, as well as 18 in Fraser Health, 12 in Vancouver Coastal Health, seven in Northern Health, three in Island Health and one in a person who resides out of province.
Active cases have dropped by 54 from yesterday, to 1,150 today, while hospitalizations are at 111 (three more than yesterday), and 41 people are in intensive care (seven fewer).
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry reports 1,001,092 residents in B.C. are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with two doses. In total, 3,510,831 have received at least one dose, and Henry says that represents 77.7 per cent of people aged 18 and older, and 76.2 per cent of people who are 12 and older.
Henry was speaking from Prince George in an update Tuesday afternoon, and says she will be meeting with officials in Interior Health later this week about the pandemic.
