Two people were taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a semi-truck this afternoon near Little Fort.
The accident happened near Webb Road on Highway 5.
BC Emergency Health Services was called at 12:54 p.m. to the crash scene, saying one air ambulance and four ground ambulances went to the scene.
BCEHS says four people were hurt, and one person was flown to Royal Inland Hospital in serious condition.
It says “at least one other patient” was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and other people involved were treated at the scene.
A cause for the crash is not yet known. The highway was closed in both directions after the accident, but reopened just after 2:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, 16 minutes before this accident, an air ambulance responded to a single-vehicle crash further up Highway 5 in Blue River. BCEHS says one ground ambulance also went. It says the ambulance was stood down before it arrived, and that one person was taken to “local hospital” in stable condition. A cause for that accident is not clear.
