The Sandman Centre concourse will be open for Kamloopsians who want a break from the smoke.

The concourse will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until further notice, though that schedule is subject to change.

“Residents are welcome to walk the concourse or simply come inside to escape the smoke,” a statement from the City said.

On two occasions this year, Sandman Centre was opened up as a cooling centre for people looking to escape the extreme heat.
