Kamloops RCMP are asking for help in identifying a woman as part of an investigation into a theft of a purse from a business in Aberdeen.
Spokesperson Crystal Evelyn says around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, police were notified after a purse was snatched from a shopping cart inside a store on the 1400-block of Hillside Drive, near the Canadian Tire.
“According to the report, a woman was shopping with her purse in the cart when she stepped away from it briefly. Another woman allegedly took the purse from the cart, then left the store in a black quad cab GMC Sierra pickup truck,” Evelyn said.
Surveillance footage captured the picture of a suspect – a woman with long blonde hair who had two purses.
She was wearing a dark blue top, light blue spandex capris, pink or purple flip flops, sunglasses while carrying a pink purse and a brown one.
If you know who, or are the woman pictured, you’re asked to contact Kamloops RCMP and reference file 2021-25842.
