Falkland residents are being given a brief window today to go back home if they have an essential reason, two days after they were ordered to evacuate because of the White Rock Lake wildfire.
Those reasons include feeding livestock, maintaining critical infrastructure, or to pick up pets that might have been left behind.
You will need a Temporary Access Permit, and you have to email the Columbia Shuswap Regional District at sepeoc.agriculture@csrd.bc.ca for that permit stating your reason for needing to go back home.
People without a permit will not be allowed into the area which has been ordered to evacuate.
Residents who return will need to be out of the evacuation order area by 2 o’clock this afternoon.
BC Wildfire is giving Falkland residents with ESSENTIAL reasons for going back quickly to feed livestock, maintain critical infrastructure or pick up pets, a brief window of time to do that. Find out more: https://t.co/dhe440rcX5 pic.twitter.com/ODoh2U2jDs
