
A Kamloops man faces one count of theft after he was arrested downtown on Saturday night.
RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says just before 7 p.m. on August 7, police were told about a theft from a commercial location on the 1100-block of Columbia Street West, the Summit Shopping Centre.
“The suspect was well-known to police and multiple units attended in response,” Evelyn said. “He was located by police on 6th Avenue and Victoria Street, arrested, and held to appear before the courts.”
Dustin Joel Poudrier, 34, of Kamloops, is charged with one count of theft under $5,000. He was remanded in custody with a court appearance scheduled for today, August 10
