The Kamloops Blazers are getting hometown product Logan Stankoven back in time for their season opener Saturday night in Prince George.
The Dallas Stars trimmed their roster to 54 players this morning, paving the way for Stankoven’s return to the Kamloops Blazers.
The 18 year-old is fresh off from signing an NHL entry-level contract this week after being a second round selection of the Stars in July.
Stankoven didn’t get a chance to play in a Stars NHL exhibition game this week.
Last season he played in just six games before joining Hockey Canada’s U18 team. He collected seven goals in those six games after a 29 goal season in 2019-20 in his WHL rookie season.
