Mounties say one woman has been charged that they’re looking for another suspect, after two businesses were robbed on Halloween night.
Kamloops RCMP say the first robbery happened in the 900-block of Columbia Street West at 8:35 p.m., where a man apparently pulled a knife on staff when he was confronted.
The suspect left with dog food, electronics and a cheese platter, according to police, and that person has not yet been located.
“We’re releasing the description of the stolen items in hopes someone saw the man walking with two large bags of dog food and a cheese platter, and can help identify a suspect,” Const. Crystal Evelyn says.
The suspect is described as being a white man who is six-feet tall, and at the time of the robbery he was wearing blue jeans, a grey jacket and a green backpack.
Meanwhile, about 10 minutes after that robbery, police say another business was robbed in the 1200-block of Summit Drive.
A woman apparently left with unpaid items, and assaulted an employee with a weapon when she was confronted. That employee had to be taken to Royal Inland Hospital.
Shortly after, police were able to find a suspect and made an arrest.
Twenty-three-year-old Payge Dyer now faces charges of robbery and assault with a weapon. She has now been released from custody with a court date pending.
