
A cyclist was taken to hospital last night after being hit on Highway 5A.
The accident happened just before 8:30 p.m., just south of Rogers Way, according to Kamloops RCMP.
Police say the cyclist was a man in his 20s who was travelling northbound on the highway, heading downhill. He was taken to hospital but further details on his condition are not known.
The driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene and has cooperated with police.
Emergency crews were on scene for several hours and traffic was rerouted. There were no reports of the highway being closed, however.
