
A slight increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the Kamloops Local Health area.
There were 142 cases reported during the week of Oct. 31 and Nov. 6, up from the 131 the week before in the area which includes the City of Kamloops as well as Logan Lake, Savona, Tobiano, Chase, Sun Peaks, Barriere, Little Fort and communities in between.
It means the Kamloops LHA is back at an average daily rate of between 15.1 and 20 cases per 100,000 people.
Cases in the Central Okanagan (Kelowna) area were also up to 181 new cases compared to 121 while the Merritt area also saw an increase to 15 cases compared to nine.
Around the Kamloops care, there were 85 new cases in Vernon (up from 66), 77 in Salmon Arm (up from 43), 65 in the Cariboo/Chicotin (up from 56), four cases each in Lillooet (down from eight), the North Thompson (unchanged), and the South Cariboo (unchanged), and three in 100 Mile (down from nine).
Transmission still remains high in most of Northern Health as well as in the Abbotsford and Chilliwack area in Fraser Health.
