
Three Kamloops Blazers continue to be ranked as NHL Central Scouting is out with its midterm rankings ahead of the 2022 NHL Draft.
Defenceman Mats Lindgren is ranked 30th among North American skaters, while forwards Fraser Minten and Matthew Seminoff are ranked 34th and 50th respectively.
All three were including the preliminary players to watch list that was released in October. Lindgren and Minten were assigned a ‘B’ rating indicating a possible second or third-round draft pick, while Seminoff was assigned a ‘C’ rating indicating a potential fourth, fifth, or sixth-round selection.
Kamloops native Mathew Ward, a forward on the Swift Current Broncos, is ranked 71st, while goalie Kolby Hay, who’s with the Edmonton Oil Kings organization, is ranked 22nd among North American goaltenders.
The 2022 NHL Draft is scheduled to be held in Montreal on Jul. 7 and 8.
