Police in Salmon Arm are asking people to be on the lookout for a missing man and his two daughters who haven’t been seen for over a week.
RCMP say Caleb Gerbrandt, 40, and his two daughters Eliyah, 14, and Avery Gerbrandt, 13, were last seen at his Salmon Arm home on Jan. 21.
In a statement, Staff Sgt. Scott West says Caleb was recently charged with sexual interference and sexual assault of a minor, adding that both daughters were supposed to be staying at their grandparent’s house in Salmon Arm.
He also says police have not been able to make contact with either of the three missing people who are believed to be somewhere in the Lower Mainland or on Vancouver Island traveling in a 2006 Grey Dodge Grand Caravan (similar to the one pictured below) with BC license plate NE961N.
“We believe that Caleb is actively evading police,” West said.
“He is required to abide by a curfew and be inside his Salmon Arm residence every night, a condition which he is now breaching. A warrant has now been issued for his arrest.”
If you have information about their whereabouts, you’re asked to call either your local police or the Salmon Arm RCMP at 250-832-6044.
