
A trio of Kamloops Blazers have been invited to compete in the 2022 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game next month.
Forwards Fraser Minten and Matthew Seminoff and defenceman Mats Lindgren will be among the 15 WHL Players heading to Kitchener, Ontario.
Minten, 17, has 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points in 45 games this season, while Seminoff, 18, has 19 goals and 25 assists for 44 points in 42 games.
Lindgren, 17, meanwhile has four goals and 30 points for 34 assists in 46 games on the Blazers blueline.
All three were featured on NHL Central Scouting’s midterm rankings in January ahead of 2022 NHL Draft – Lindgren was 30th among North American skaters, while Minten and Seminoff are ranked 34th and 50th respectively.
At the last Top Prospects Game in 2020, the Blazers were represented by Connor Zary, who had three assists, including on the game winning goal, and Dylan Garand, who made 10 saves to take the win as Team White beat Team Red 5-3.
The 2022 Top Prospects game is slated for March 23.
