UPDATE 12:15 p.m. –
Kamloops RCMP say a woman was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition after she was hit by a small bus on Tranquille Road Sunday afternoon.
In an update Monday, RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn says the woman was hit on the north sidewalk near 7-Eleven and Petro Canada at Tranquille and Desmond.
Evelyn says the bus also hit a parked vehicle and a hydro pole before it crossed Desmond Street and came to rest against a set of building pillars by the Save On Foods in the Brock Shopping Centre parking lot, around 4:20 p.m.
“The cause of the crash is believed to be medical in nature but the investigation is ongoing,” Evelyn told NL News, noting the driver of the bus was treated for minor injuries.
“[It] is believed to be non-criminal in nature.”
It is unclear who owns the bus as it had no markings on it. It sustained a lot of damage to the front as well as to the rear passenger side.
Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2022-13303.

Inside of the bus looked gutted from what I could see.
Some more pictures of the area. I’m not there any more so I’ll update if I get more information. #Kamloops pic.twitter.com/YmFUMiphmG
