VK Workforce Development gives employers access to resources and recruitment tools they may need to hire people.
This includes an online component which allows the employer to streamline their needs, while also giving them access to recruitment support.
“Hiring new talent with the right mix of skills is an increasingly challenging situation in Canada’s competitive and tight labour market,” said Venture Kamloops in a release.
“Data shows this trend will continue into the next 10 to 15 years as baby boomers retire and Canada’s population of working age individuals declines.”
The VK Workforce Development site gives employers the option of pin-pointing their needs, whether it be for entry-level workers, to highly-skilled talent. It also provides links to sites where employers and companies can apply for grants.
“Employers are strained to find the time it takes to research new recruitment channels, such as talent pools and hiring & training grants. Venture Kamloops has done the homework for employers and organized the research into this tailored workforce development directory,” said Venture Kamloops Economic Development Manager Nicole Bruce in a release.
