A witness in the situation, who works at Stray Cat Industrial has been evacuated from the office because of the leak. Ana Paraschiv tells NL News, she was sitting in the office, when two employees ran inside, nearly throwing up.
She says they were urgently telling her something, like a leak, was happening outside.
“We couldn’t quite smell it in the office yet, and then we were staring out the windows and there were guys running across the street from the container place to Artic Glacier Ice, and they were running towards them, and then they were running back and people were bending over and looked like they were throwing up, and then I called the police.”
After calling the RCMP detachment, Paraschiv says they were evacuated from the area.
