Kamloops RCMP say a woman is in custody after an armed robbery in Sahali last night.
Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says police were called to the 1200-block of Summit Drive 10:05 p.m. after a woman who allegedly tried to leave a store without paying took out a knife when an employee tried to stop her.
“A description of the suspect was provided to responding officers, who were able to locate her hiding in a bush nearby,” she said.
Police say the suspect was also wanted on an unendorsed warrant and is being held in custody with a court date today.
If you happened to witness this robbery, police say to contact them and reference file 2022-22969.
