The Kamloops NorthPaws have won the inaugural BC Cup.
A friendly competition between the mayors of all four BC-based West Coast League (WCL) teams, the NorthPaws clinched the title following a 5-3 win against the Kelowna Falcons at Norbrock Stadium Thursday night.
It means the NorthPaws finished with a 12-6 record against their BC rivals, edging the Victoria HarbourCats, who finished with a 11-7 record.
Kelowna ended their season against BC teams with a 7-11 record, while the Nanaimo NightOwls managed a 6-12 record.

Zack Beatty hit his tenth home run of the season – one of four RBIs – helping the NorthPaws sweep Kelowna to improve to a 25-25 record. They’re now one win away from clinching a playoff berth in their inaugural WCL season
NorthPaws starter Reed Interdonato allowed three runs on four hits Thursday while striking out seven Falcons batters in five innings of work.
Ben Polack and Dylan Emmons, who earned the win, each pitched a scoreless inning in relief before making way for Kolby Lukinchuk who earned his fourth save of the season after two innings of work.
The NorthPaws will head to Bellingham to wrap up the regular season with a weekend road series against the Bells starting Friday night.
