The BC Wildfire Service is responding to the Robertson Creek wildfire, located about 22 kilometres northwest of Cache Creek.
It says the fire is currently estimated at two hectares in size, burning less than five kilometres south of the Maria Creek wildfire.
“[The fire] may be visible to surrounding communities and Highway 99 and 97,” the Wildfire Service said Monday afternoon.
“It is burning rank two and three, displaying an organized flame front with occasional candling in inaccessible terrain and dense timber.”
The Wildfire Service says firefighters will be working to establish access to the fire with support from helicopters and airtankers.
