Kamloops RCMP are still searching for a suspect after a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a stabbing on the North Shore last night.
At 10:15 p.m. Monday, Mounties responded to a call on the 700-block of Sydney Avenue, of a man with stab wounds was in a parking lot with stab wounds.
Police say the victim was transported to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Corporal Crystal Evelyn with the Kamloops RCMP says while it is still early in the investigation, police believe the incident was not a random attack and that it’s not related to the serious stabbing on Tranquille last Monday.
“In follow up to last week’s stabbing, a suspect was identified and arrested, and charge recommendation is anticipated.”
Evelyn adds that a suspect from last night’s stabbing was seen leaving the scene on a mountain bike wearing a white hat, jeans, and a dark jacket or hoodie with dark hair.
Anyone with video surveillance, dash cam footage, or information related to this incident is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000.
