Richard Carmichael is half a million dollars richer thanks to the October 3rd Daily Grand prize draw.

He says he will use some of his winnings to head down the Oregon Coast.

Carmichael purchased his ticket from the Pharmasave on Garcia Street. That is the same site where he checked his ticket and found out about the big win. “I didn’t believe it was true… you don’t expect it to be you and all of a sudden it is,” he said.

The first person he shared the news with was his wife.

Aside from a road trip to Oregon, Carmichael plans to enjoy some camping trips and will make some investments. “It’s more or less a safety net.”

“It’s unbelievable and exciting! I was quite excited in the beginning and after I calmed down a bit it’s still hard to believe.”
