The only red light camera in the City of Kamloops is being replaced after ten years in service.
Capital Projects Manager Darren Crundwell says, the device is the only one owned by the city allowing RCMP to issue tickets for violators.
“With the work we are doing with some intersection changes at Fortune and 8th, we are replacing the red light camera. It has been there for quite sometime.”
Crundwell says, one of the busiest intersections in Kamloops was in need of upgrading.
