With Christmas only a few weekends away, many Kamloopsian’s are officially ready to kick the holiday season into high gear.

If setting up a real Christmas Tree is still on your To-Do list, one place you can go pick it up is the Woodward Christmas Tree Farm on Westsyde Road.

While open daily until December 18, Adam Woodward says it’s a very festive experience on the weekends.

“We have the bonfires going, we have a food truck on site serving smokies, hot dogs, and hot chocolate for the little kids,” he said.

“When you get here, come in and get access into the Christmas tree patch, and in the Christmas tree patch we have hay wagon rides that are available to take the families out to the Christmas trees.”

Woodward says something new this year is the Winter Wonderland.

“We are really excited about it. In our event gardens area, we’ve done it up with lots of Christmas décor with lots of big displays where families can take photos and all that.”

Woodward says it’s a family outing people of all ages enjoy.

“Of course, you can top it off with a tasting of wine or cider, a glass of mulled wine, or hot apple cider to enjoy by the fire afterward.”

For those looking to pick out a real tree this year, Woodward explains what that process will look like.

“You can hop on hay wagon rides to take you out to the trees and then you search for that perfect tree, either out in our field or in the pre-cut area that we have designated out there. You pick whichever tree you’d like and bring it over to the tractor and the tractor can load it up,” explained Woodward.

“We have Andre there and Harley working who can load up your tree and bring it back and then even if you want your tree wrapped to help you transport it and then also get it into your house.”

Woodward says they will be open on weekdays from 10 am until 4 pm, while on weekends they are open from 9 am until 4 pm until December 18.
