Fraser Minten scores his 3rd of the game, his 2nd hat-trick in as many nights, as the Blazers defeat Kelowna 6-2/Via Kamloops Blazers
Another night, another “W” in the books for the Kamloops Blazers… and another hat-trick for Fraser Minten.
After dumping the Rockets with 6 goals the night before on the road, the Blazers did it again in Kamloops, this time with a resounding 6-2 victory on Wednesday night at the Sandman Center.
Drew Englot got the BC Division-leading Blazers on the board first about 5 minutes into the contest.
The Rockets would equalize to put the game at 1-1 heading into the second period.
But that’s when the Blazers came alive.
Nathan MacPherson-Ridgewell opened the flood gates early in the 2nd with his first as a Blazer to make things 2-1.
Then it was Fraser Minten scoring just over a minute later — the first of two he would score in the 2nd period — to put the Blazers up for good.
Emmitt Finnie would score as well in the second, putting the Blazers up 5-2 going into the 3rd.
And from there, Fraser Minten would score 5 minutes into the 3rd period — his hat-trick goal — to salt the game away, allowing the Blazers to cruise to the 6-2 win.
We're starting to believe Fraser Minten is incapable of NOT scoring. That's five goals in 1.5 games for the @MapleLeafs prospect. @blazerhockey pic.twitter.com/M8eTcSJ8B1

Dylan Ernst earning his 13th straight victory as a starter in turning aside 26 of the 28 he faced.
This now ties a Blazer record of consecutive victories set by Kenric Exner set in the 1998-99 campaign.
The Blazers now get a day to relax a bit before entertaining the Prince George Cougars on Friday.
