The Kamloops Blazers added some depth to the roster with the acquisition of defenceman Daylan Weigel from the Swift Current Broncos.
They sent a ninth round pick in the 2026 WHL Draft to the Broncos in exchange for the 19-year-old’s WHL playing rights.
The five-foot-11 right shot defenseman is currently playing with the Humboldt Broncos in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, where he has put up 24 points (six goals and 18 assists) in 31 games nthis season.
Weigel has 25 games of WHL with the Broncos and the Regina Pats, where he’s put up six assists and a minus-6 rating.
