Mounties are investigating a pair of overnight break-in reports in Kamloops on Tuesday.
Police were called to a business on Parkcrest Avenue and another on Athabasca Street early Tuesday morning, however only one of them had anything stolen.
Mounties were notified of the first incident around 2:00 a.m. where a truck was reportedly stolen from a business and used to ram through the gates.
Following an investigation, authorities say the dark coloured pick-up truck was taken roughly 40 minutes prior, and the truck is believed to have some front end damage.
“In what appears to be an unrelated incident, police were soon after called to a business alarm on the 2000-block of Parkcrest Avenue,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. “A front door was smashed and a nearby vehicle had a window broken, but nothing appeared to be taken.”
Police say video surveillance found a suspect hanging around the location for roughly 30 minutes before committing the mischief around 2:10 a.m.
The suspect is believed to be a man, wearing light shoes, dark pants, and a light hoodie.
Anyone who saw the suspect in the area or has information that may help identify him, is asked to contact police.
