Defenceman Olen Zellweger was also assessed a double minor for high sticking with 5:22 left to play but the Blazers managed to hold on to their lead to improve to 30-10-4-2 on the season.
Matthew Kieper made 34 saves in net for his first road win with the Blazers while Brett Mirwald turned aside 50 of 54 Kamloops shots in a losing effort.
