Kamloops RCMP are asking for help in finding a retired British military veteran’s uniform which was stolen from a shipping container on Vicars Road.
Mounties say the theft of the uniform – which includes a military beret, a camouflage jacket and pants, a large green backpack, a jumper vest, black army boots, and a belt – likely happened over the past few weeks before it was discovered on Sunday, Feb. 13.
“The items stolen were of a great sentimental value to the owner,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, said. “If you took them, or know someone who recently came into possession of some military clothing, please contact police so that we can help facilitate their return.”
Evelyn says the owner gave police stock pictures of the items that were stolen to help with the search.
If you have information, Evelyn says to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-5166.
