Logan Stankoven was back on the scoresheet as the Kamloops Blazers beat the Swift Current Broncos 6-3 to extend their win streak to ten games.
It is the team’s longest win streak since 2012 as the 37-10-4-2 Blazers inch closer to a fourth straight BC Division title.
Ryan Hofer and Connor Levis had two goals each with Ashton Ferster also scoring for the Blazers, who were playing in Swift Current for the first time since 2017. Josh Film, Connor Hvidston, and Braeden Lewis countered for the Broncos.

Former Blazer Drew Englot was held off the scoresheet though Kamloops native Sam Ward picked up an assist
The Blazers led 5-0 after two periods with goals from Stankoven, Levis, and Ferster sandwiched between Hofer’s pair. Swift Current made a game of it though with three consecutive goals in the third period before Levis’ second of the night put the game to bed.
Dylan Ernst stopped 26 shots to win his league leading 31st win of the season. Reid Dyck made 47 saves on 53 shots for the Broncos’ in a losing effort.
The Blazers have two games to go on their six-game Central Division road trip. They’re in Lethbridge on Friday and in Medicine Hat on Saturday before a home game against Kelowna next Friday, March 3.
