Kamloops Mounties are on the lookout for witnesses after a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds on Saturday evening.
Police say multiple officers responded to the North Shore Bus Loop around 6:15 that evening, noting a man was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Spokesperson Corporal Crystal Evelyn says the suspect is described as a First Nations man with a small moustache and a stocky build. He was dressed in black clothes at the time, and was last seen running with a limp southbound on Tranquille Road.
“The area is known for high foot and vehicle traffic and as being somewhat of a hangout spot,” she said. “Anyone who has information, witnessed, or captured video that could help further this investigation, is asked to please contact police as soon as possible.”
If you witnessed the incident or have information about it, Evelyn says to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-6590.
