Work on a $38-million-dollar new nursing building at TRU is still more than a year away from being done.
A year ago today the Premier was in Kamloops for the groundbreaking of the building.
TRU vice president of administration and finance Matt Milovick says the new facility should be ready to open next summer.
“It’s approximately 50,000 square feet, but what it’s allowed us to do is consolidate all of our nursing faculty and our nursing facilities into one building, and allows us to create a number of labs ranging from low-fidelity to high-fidelity.”
Milovick says the new building will be state-of-the-art and he says the nursing program is a “calling card” for TRU.
