The Thompson-Nicola Regional District has appointed Randy Diehl to the position of interim Chief Administrative Officer.
The news comes shortly after it was announced that Sukh Gill was retiring from the position effective February 14th.
In a media release, the TNRD says “Mr. Diehl brings a wealth of experience in Local Government Administration at both the municipal and regional levels. In addition, he is well-versed in the recruitment and hiring of senior managers. His assistance in the hiring of a permanent CAO will be of great benefit to the region.”
Diehl, who was a former CAO with the City of Kamloops, takes on the role starting Monday, February 24.
Director Ken Gillis says now that an interim CAO has been chosen, “we will begin the search for a permanent replacement for Mr. Gill.”
