Graduated Kamloops Blazers forward Orrin Centazzo has signed a pro hockey contract in the ECHL.
The 21-year-old Marwayne, Alberta native has signed with the Newfoundland Growlers, based out of St. John’s, a team affiliated with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Centazzo wrapped up a five-year WHL career with Everett and Kamloops this past spring with 184 points in 261 games.
His best year came as a 19-year old during the 2019-20 season, when he scored 44 goals in 63 games before COVID shutdown the season.
During the shortened 2020-21 season, Centazzo put up 17 points in 17 games.
His cousin, and fellow Blazers forward, Zane Franklin signed an ECHL contract with the Allen Americans last August.
