Kamloops RCMP say a second vehicle that was stolen this week while it was idling has been returned to its owner.
RCMP Spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says they were told about a woman who was slumped over in the driver’s seat of a Honda Civic in a parking lot in the 1800-block of Highway 5A in Aberdeen.
She notes a check of the licence plate confirmed it was the same vehicle that was reported stolen in the 1000-block of Hillside Drive on Tuesday.
The woman was the only person in the vehicle at the time it was found. Evelyn says she was arrested and released with a court date, pending the conclusion of the investigation.
“Suspected drugs, a knife, and air pistol were also located and seized,” Evelyn said
Two other vehicles – a truck and a black Audi – were stolen from in front a business in the 1800-block of Highway 5A on Sunday, Jan. 23. The truck has been recovered by the Audi with BC plate MB 011G is still missing.
