Two of the fires burning appear to have been extinguished.
The fire near Boothroyd and Anderson Lake are no longer listed as active wildfires by the BC Wildfire Service.
The fire at Nekliptum Creek, believed to be human caused, it still burning at 0.40 hectares.
It’s still listed as an active wildfire.
ORIGINAL –
A trio of new fires in the area that have popped up since yesterday, two of them are south of Lytton.
One of the fires at Nekliptum Creek is estimated at 0.40 hectares, while a second is near Boothroyd at 1.10 hectares.
The third fire is west of Lillooet, near Anderson Lake, and is estimated at 3 hectares.
No word yet on a cause for any of these blazes, but it brings the the year to date total for wildfires in the province to 14.
That includes two fires near Chase over the weekend that were human caused, and a pair of small fires near Merritt and Westwold.
