At Monday night’s midterm inaugural Kamloops-Thompson School District board meeting, Rhonda Kershaw was acclaimed as chair of the Board of Education.
Kershaw was first elected to the position in July after former chair Kathleen Karpuk stepped down from the role when she accepted a new job with the BC Wildfire Service.
The other board positions all remained the same as Meghan Wade was acclaimed as vice chair. Heather Grieve was acclaimed as representative for the BC Public Sector Employers Association and John O’Fee was acclaimed as representative for BC School Trustees Association.
“Thank you to the board. I look forward to the next year” said Kershaw.
“We of course came out of our board workshop a couple weeks ago and we have set ourselves up for a lot of work over the year, so I am looking forward to it being great and working with you all.”
