“We are making progress in our efforts to push back on the COVID-19 virus and get to the days of fewer restrictions in our province,” a statement from Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry said.
“We can keep this positive, forward momentum going and help keep our province safe through the small efforts we make every day.”
While she hinted at an easing of the COVID-19 restrictions at end of this month, Henry says if things are eased too quickly it could lead to an increase in cases in the province.
As it stands, there have been 155,585 doses of a COVID vaccine administered in B.C, 12,802 of which have been second doses.
There are now 65,618 people who are considered to have recovered from COVID-19, about 92 per cent of the total 71,387 cases.
